Radio Blog
You've probably noticed this on a few websites. With Radio Blog visitors can choose whatever kind of music they want or no music at all.1) Download radio blog from here.
2) Unzip the files to somewhere easy to find. I just went to my documents and using winzip it automatically opens the folder for me, so it wasn't a problem. Now I can remember that radio blog is saved in my "unzipped" folder because I didn't change the path when I used winzip to unzip it. You may want to do the same. Whatever you can remember easiest.
3) Upload the entire radio.blog folder to your server. Once you've done this, to edit the colors and make radio blog match your website open the folder you've just uploaded to your server (radio.blog) and edit config.xml.
4) To add music to your radio blog open up whatever folder your mp3's are stored in. For example, I would either open My Documents >> My Music or My Computer >> Presario (C:) >> Documents and Settings >> Owner >> Shared. Your files may be in a completely different place.
5) Choose an mp3, right click and click copy, and then go to your create.sound folder and right click and click paste so that you paste the mp3 into that folder.
6) After you have pasted all of your mp3's that you're going to put on your Radio Blog playlist, double click on convert64.bat. This will convert all of your mp3 files into rbs format files into the sounds directory so that they will play on your Radio Blog.
7) C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe should appear. DO NOT close this box. If you're not sure what that is, it should look something like:

8) Wait for all of the files to finish being converted. You'll know when they're finished because C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe will automatically close.
9) Go to your ftp program that you use to upload files and folders to your website. Click on the folder you uploaded to your website titled radio.blog then click on the folder titled sounds. You should have the create.sound folder still open on your computer (NOT your website) and you should move each rbs file (NOT mp3 files) to your sounds directory (folder) on your website.
10) Insert the following code on your website wherever you'd like for your Radio Blog to appear.
<iframe src="/radio.blog/index.php" name="radio" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" width="222" height="300"></iframe>
11) To autostart a track (not recommended, this gets annoying for visitors who don't want to listen to music and can't figure out how to make it stop) insert ?autoplay=# instead of index.php. Where it says # put the track number that appears on your radio blog. If I wanted "Eye" by Smashing Pumpkins to automatically play when people go to my website I would put 5 in place of the # sign.
You're done! Hope this tutorial helped!

I'm Skylar, or, if you prefer, Sky. I'm a junior in high school. Music is my obsession. I enjoy singing and take voice lessons, as well as perform in the pit (mallets, xylo, marimba) in the marching band, and play triples in the steel drum band. I'm outgoing, and easy to get along with and you usually won't find me without a smile on my face.
